Cetyl Alcohol
Cetyl alcohol is a fatty alcohol often produced by reducing palmitic acid, a fatty acid commonly found in vegetable oils such as palm oil and coconut oil. It is a waxy, solid substance at room temperature and is widely used in cosmetics due to its emollient and emulsifying properties. Despite the name "alcohol," it does not have drying effects.
